Those of us who live and work cross-culturally are exposed to a wider variety of stressors, and experience higher levels of stress than the average person. Our usual helpful coping skills may not work well in our current context, and unhelpful coping methods may increase and cause us further harm.
Seeking Safety is an evidence-based group curriculum for those who have experienced trauma or significant stressors and/or are engaging in unsafe coping behaviors. It is a structured, present-focused group (not a process group - participants do not need to tell their trauma story), aimed at making the present and future better than the past.
This group meets once a week for 10 weeks. An intake appointment with the facilitator is required prior to the first session.
